This Month Gucci launches its limited edition ‘Icon-Temporary’ flash sneaker. The shoe will have 18 exclusive styles, 16 for men and 2 for women. All of the styles are designed by DJ Marc Ronson in collaboration with the house’s creative director Frida Giannini. The collection will travel the world to several destinations. The classic Gucci design signatures, including the GG logo, and a stylized version of the iconic Gucci red and green web detail, will be incorporated into the limited edition Gucci Mark Ronson trainers. Each design includes silver or gold metal dog tags, and your very own monogram embossed onto a customized tag of the limited edition’s shoelaces. Each client will receive a custom 12-inch vinyl record with exclusive tracks produced by Mark Ronson, as a gift with the Gucci Mark Ronson trainers. “All of these items will be available at the Gucci Icon-Temporary pop-up store held in six to eleven worldwide locations”, says Frida Giannini Gucci’s Creative Director. She says each location will be open for two to three weeks. Ronson created a pair for each city in which the pop-up shops will appear. The Gucci limited edition Mark Ronson trainers will first appear on October 23rd on Crosby Street in Soho New York . Then to Miami, coinciding with Art Basel Miami Beach. Then they’ll travel to selected cities in Europe and Asia, including London, Berlin, Paris, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
