Showing Up.
As I got up this morning well rested (apart from the insomnia part between 4-6AM when I was woken up by birds and by my own anxiety – thinking how I sucked at the reading I did yesterday).
I made a green smoothie. That’s right I’ve been playing with green (recipe to come…). After my morning routine of reading news and blogs I threw this outfit together—obviously in a jiffy—and strolled with hubby down to Nespresso. We needed to refill the capsule bowl. Fancy stuff!
My question to you is: Is this outfit hobo, hobo chic, tired mama, or Olsen twin? Or as one of my bff’s would say “Is it RRL or homeless?”
More importantly what I actually wanted to share with you is the documentary we saw a screening of last night, directed by my husband’s former cast mate and his wife. It’s an inspirational message to all actors (and people in other fields) and really funny too. It has interviews with some of our favorite, mostly New York, actors. The film Showing Up is about the constant struggle of auditioning. Although it’s a tough reality check – it was a feel good film. However one can relate – it becomes comforting, no? Here is the info for you.
The inspirational affect from the film got me to clean up my act a bit. I decided to post my acting & writing resume HERE on Fabwick. Keeping it all close. My web presence is all in one place. One stop for all. As I put it together I realized I have accomplished a couple of things in life. It’s a good day when I give myself that credit – usually I just beat myself up…. Here’s to being kinder to ourselves!
Happy Cinco de Mayo and Kentucky Derby!
Outfit – Coat: Donna Karan. T-shirt: James Perse. Slacks: Hinge. Shoes: Celine. Bag: Chanel. Sunglasses: Chanel
PS. Love this song They by Gem – reminds me of Suzuki training with my mentors… Love!

Like Unkie would say, you look good in a gunny sack, I say as long as you are sporting that purse, you rule
Got tuned in to your blog a year ago. AS for the outfit- it rocks. Looks like you spent plenty of time on it. Natural style. I love it.
I think you look so chic!! The hubs & I are definitely checking out “Showing Up” – we love docs like this!
