Who Is Bardi? is a ‘fake documentary’ film produced by Bardi Johannsson and directed by Ragnar Bragason. When I found the film on the internet, I’d never seen the whole thing (although I play the stylist–mostly in part 4). It was one of those projects that made me laugh throughout the whole shoot. Bardi is one of the funniest people I’ve met. I recommend watching all of the parts, but at least check out PART 4. I’m the girl with the sunglasses. I’m also inside the studio with the orange fringe scarf wrapped around my hips. It was filmed a few years ago.

Another timeless treasure from Bardi, is his version of Stop In The Name Of Love – is definitely meant to be loved and make you sad and happy… View the video below!

I can no longer remain silent on the very pressing subject that is the selling off of Iceland’s nature.

I hereby challenge the government of Iceland to do everything in its power to revoke the contracts with Magma Energy that entitle the Canadian firm complete ownership of HS Orka. These are abhorrable deals, and they create a dangerous precedent for the future. They directly go against necessary and oft-repeated attempts to create a new policy in the energy- and resource management of this nation.

I’m sorry about the chaos that nature in my country has caused, but I’m not sorry to be Icelandic. Of that I couldn’t be more proud– the strength and the courage of my people are phenomenal. After being robbed by a handful of fake moguls, listening to our imbecilic president say that this is just the beginning and there’s more to come, and then being blamed by the world for a volcanic eruption, a nation acquired strength. And strength is what Icelanders have never lacked. We’re still Vikings – all the way through. But we didn’t do it – I swear we’re Innocent!

Have anything glorious planned this weekend? For some reason I tend to go to Sushi restaurants on Fridays (just realized that it’s a tendency). Last night was a family dinner at Wasabi in Belltown. We’re finally getting somewhat of a spring here in the Northwest. And now, more than ever, I’m eager to get into complete Madonna-like shape. Because I loathe diets, I go a different route – a skin diet. Following Dr. Perricone’s skin diet makes me drop unwanted cushioning and layers. Below is a link to the top 10 supplements. I also recommend his book The Wrinkle Cure. The title isn’t very appealing, but if you follow his advice on eating salmon, blueberries, other youth-boosters along with the supplements, you’ll transform into a younger and slimmer you. There are always temptations – tonight, one of my best friends is turning 30 and we’re having a girl’s night out (I sense cocktails) – I believe we’ll visit the Unicorn in Capitol Hill – After Lisa Olson covered it so deliciously here, I’ve been wanting to experience the circus flair myself. Just like first dates, there are several other things in life that don’t have a clear message. The idea may have come from a valid place but the execution failed entirely. I’ve been thinking about the cushioned toilet seat–common in homes in the 80’s–and how gross it was to sit on someone else’s padded toilet seat. (Another thing: it creeps me out when I see a stack of magazines in people’s bathrooms because I start to visualize them sitting on the toilet.) A visit behind the scenes of filming the 9th episode of The Weird Girls Project. They are producing a video for Crookers More (the introduction is in Icelandic, but the interview is in English). If you haven’t heard about Kitty Von-Sometime and The Weird Girls Project, please visit their website for more information. Anything with that kind of a title interests me (I guess I relate). The project is an ensemble (all girls that live in or have a strong connection to Iceland), whose concept is created by the artist, Kitty Von-Sometime. It’s episode–based and the collective ‘’acts’’ in music videos with/for various artists. Kitty creates each episode´s concept (this includes the locations and the costumes). This concept is unknown to the performers until they arrive on the set. The goal of the project is to provoke and conquer the performers´ reactions to the unknown.
