Peter Som showcased his Spring 2010 collection in a presentation format at Milk Studios yesterday – a great escape from the tents. Non-runway presentations are divine – one can go directly up to the models, see the fabrication up close and personal, then snap a photograph.

Walking into the studio felt like walking into a candy store full of clothes. There were tasty colors of mint blue, ecru, tangerine, lemon and every piece had a shine to it. I have always liked Peter Som’s work, but this time I fell in love – head over heels.

There was an ink-petal print goatskin jacket, a tangerine tinsel jersey-stripe T-shirtwith aqua short, a mint lily-pond jacquard martini dress, the perfect dance dress – stunning jeweled necklines and yummy headscarves and sunglasses. The looks were a mix of boudoir and fifties candy – we adore!
